The Daly Harvest Team

John Daly Co-Founder

John first discovered the ideas of self-contained ecosystems when studying at the O.U.R Ecovillage in 2008. Becoming enamored with a more 'natural' way of life, John began studying Permaculture (a system of agriculture which understands synergy amongst individual parts), as well as Herbalism (the study of plants for medicine). This led him to acquiring a Permaculture Design Certificate from one of the leaders in the field (Toby Hemenway - Author of "Gaia's Garden"), as well as a Diploma in Pediatric Herbalism.

Ever combining his interests of Yoga, Meditation, and Herbalism, the spark for "Daly Harvest" came very naturally. Building structures that could allow this way of life to thrive made a lot of sense. Whether you use the domes for stretching, meditation, listening to music, gardening, writing, John always says: "Be nourished four seasons of the year,... in all ways."

Steve Watson Dome Technician

Steve brings an enthusiastic energy to the Daly Harvest project. He is a typical ''all round' guy who likes to study and fiddle with various progressive ideas (sometimes too many at once! ;p). The team draws on his wisdom of aquaponics, bee keeping, aqua culture and various design principles of building.

Eugene Gamble Co-Founder

Eugene's skills as a tradesman were nurtured at a very young age. Interacting with materials, as such, became very natural to him. Eugene took his love for the craft and purchased Reggin Technical Services, which provides HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), plumbing, electrical and sheet metal services. His passion soon blossomed the company all over Alberta. With this, Eugene commands a unique and diverse skill set to Daly Harvest.

As his knowledge in HVAC improved, Eugene developed an interest in alternative energy. His experimental spirit soon found him helping develop progressive, green technologies like the Water Mill; a product which draws water from ambient air with very low wattage.

Continuing his passion for off-grid, clean technologies, the stage was ripe for the Daly Harvest project.
